  1. Know It All says:

It means, “wait till you get pregnant yourself, then you can really feel/experience what pregnant women feel/experience”.

  2. CAustin II says:

It means you’ve had an encounter with a bored idiot.

Obviously you aren’t doomed to be pregnant if you don’t want to be; many women choose never to have children.

  3. I dunno b/c haha LOL! says:

Well that’s what pregnant women feel. Another body moving around inside of them. I cannot imagine this, but wow, that must be something incredible. And even the man can put his hand on her stomach and feel the baby moving around. That must be pretty incredible too, but less.

It always makes me laugh when men try to describe pregnancies… One actually posted a question about it “…not hurting…animals do it…”

It’s not freaky. It’s wonderful, but it is…not for everyone.

Well, when you are pregnant, the child you are carrying is not you, or even a part of you. It’s an entirely separate person. And they move, a lot. They start moving when they’re only 7 or 8 weeks (actually I think it’s earlier). I felt all 3 of my babies’ first kicks by the time I was 13 weeks along, no joke (I’m scrawny so I can feel everything in there…). They kick and turn all through the second and third trimesters; by the time you’re almost due to deliver, you can start to tell which part is which when they turn over – you can see heels and elbows and bums go by. It’s cute.

His point is, if just seeing pregnant women freaks you out, you’d better learn to get over it or else you’re not going to do well if/when you get pregnant one day.

It was ignorant in that he seems to assume that you will get pregnant. I have to admit I am a little nervous about when I will first feel the baby. Things foreign to my body (splinters etc.) have always kind of freaked me out. I’m not really sure how I’m going to feel once I feel my baby move. I think it’s okay to be a little freaked out by it. Just make sure you don’t run away screaming when you run into a pregnant woman ;)
